Accessibility
I want this site to work for everyone, including people using screen readers, keyboard navigation, or magnification.
What I aim for
This site is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2, Level AA.
What I have done
- Tested every page with axe-core, an automated accessibility testing engine, with no violations reported
- Text and background colors checked against the required contrast ratios
- Every image carries a text alternative
- Every form field has a visible, associated label
- Headings run in order so screen readers can navigate the structure
- A skip-to-content link at the top of each page
- The whole site works by keyboard, with a visible focus outline
- Motion is reduced automatically if your device asks for that
Automated testing catches a lot but not everything. If something on this site is hard to use, please tell me and I will fix it.
Tell me about a problem
Email sebastian@bistian.dev with the page and what went wrong. I will reply within five business days.
Accessibility on sites I build
Sites I build for clients are tested the same way before handover.
